Corbett Tiger Reserve is situated in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand state in India, with the Directorate and nearest train/bus station at Ramnagar, easily reached via Delhi/Moradabad by trains and buses.

Jim Corbett National Park is well connected nationally by road, train, and air/flight network via Delhi. The nearest railway station and interstate bus terminal to Corbett is located at Ramnagar, which is around 12 km from the park, with airports at Dehradun and Phool Bagh near Rudrapur.

The nearest railway station from Corbett Park is Ramnagar, which is around 12 km from the park. Ramnagar Station is directly connected to railway stations in Delhi and Mumbai. A direct train named Ranikhet Express and Corbett Link Express runs from Delhi to Ramnagar, which is the best train to reach Corbett from Delhi.

Corbett is accessible by road from Delhi, Moradabad, Nainital, Lucknow, Bareilly, and Dehradun through regular bus and taxi services. Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Bareilly are connected to major cities in India by road.

Jhirna Zone and Dhela tourism zones of Jim Corbett National Park, along with Sitabani tourism zones of Ramnagar Division Forest, remain open throughout the year for tourists. Dhikala and Durgadevi zones are open from 15th November to 15th June, while Bijrani Zone is open from 15th October to 30th June.

The minimum temperatures can drop as low as 2°C in December and January, while the maximum temperature during May and June can reach as high as 42°C.

No entry is allowed in the Corbett Tiger Reserve on the day of the 'Holi' festival, apart from the closed periods mentioned earlier.

Entry permits are issued for a specific zone. The safari is permitted only in the zone booked; the other zones remain out of bounds for visitors.

Online booking for Jim Corbett National Park safari starts 45 days in advance. Foreign nationals can book 90 days in advance. Passport details and nationality are mandatory for reservations of foreign tourists. You can contact us for hassle-free jeep safari permits.

Visitors are allowed to take their mobiles/cell phones on park excursions but should not play any kind of music or sound inside Jim Corbett National Park.

Tickets cannot be cancelled or rescheduled/amended either online or at the entry gates.

180 vehicles are permitted to enter the park per day, including morning and afternoon drives. Bijrani Zone accommodates 60 vehicles; Jhirna Zone allows 60, while Dhela and Durgadevi zones allow 8+8 and 11+11 vehicles per day, respectively.

Visitors are allowed to enter two times in a day inside Jim Corbett National Park, once in the morning shift and once during the afternoon shift.

Only six adults and two children between 5-10 years, in addition to the naturalist and registered jeep driver, are allowed in a vehicle during the safari on one permit.

Accommodation facilities like forest rest houses and forest lodges are available inside Jim Corbett National Park. Tourists can stay at designated forest lodges such as Dhikala, Jhirna, Sultan, and Gairal forest rest houses. Additionally, several luxury resorts near the river are available on the outskirts of Corbett. You may send a query for advance booking.

If you want to enjoy an elephant safari amidst the jungle of Corbett, you first need to book a jeep safari. Elephants are available at Bijrani and Dhikala zones, and rides are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Currently, camel rides are not a standard offering in Jim Corbett National Park. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the available elephant safaris instead.

Adventure activities can be booked through local tour operators or directly at the park's visitor center. It's advisable to inquire about available activities and make reservations in advance.

It is mandatory to be accompanied by a registered guide/naturalist during safari visits to Jim Corbett National Park. The guide fee is to be paid directly to the tour guide at the end of the safari tour. Guides are available at the entry point of the respective zone.

Authorized study tours of students from educational institutions are charged 50% of the entry fee, subject to prior information. This facility is allowed to an institution only once a year and is limited to one visit. Students, trainees, trainers, and support staff from training and research institutions of different State Forest Departments and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India are eligible for free entry.
